If 1.5 Hens lay 1.5 Eggs in 1.5 Days how long will it take
10 Hens to lay 10 Eggs?
I'll plump for 1.5 days.
That's all very well and good but which came first? :)
BTW, i agree with David.
Potential always comes first. Yes, 1.5.
Most likely that the egg came first.
Why? Becuase...
The chances that an egg was laid by a slightly stupid chicken-like animal, containing the first improved stupid chicken-like animal (a chicken)
is greater than:
the chances that a chicken would suddenly start laying eggs where it had previously not.
Oh and yes, it's 1.5
hen egg day
1.5 1.5 1.5
1.5 1 1.5/1.5=1
1 1 1/1.5=0.67
1 10 0.67*10=6.7
10 10 6.7/10= 0.67
So, the answer is 10 hens will lay 10 eggs in 0.67 day
How long will it take 10 hens to lay 10 eggs total....?
or
How long will it take 10 hens to lay 10 eggs each....?
If a hen lays an egg, which hatches and grows up fast enough
before ten eggs have been laid by ten hens, can we then include
any eggs that the newbie lays?
OOPS!
Also, if an egg hatches before 10 eggs have been laid, do we then
subtract it from the running sum, since its not an egg anymore?

When is an egg not an egg? When it's an eggshell?
According to www.dictionary.com, an eggshell could be an egg if it still had "the ovoid shape of an egg". Debateable then.
1.5 * 1.5 * 1.5 = 10 * 10 * 0.0375
So i put my money on 0.0375 days, but i warn u i am a little drunk so i am probably fwrong.
