Dual Moniters
ok alot of people have been tlaking about dual moniter setup, what exactly is the benifit. I really don't know much about dual moniters but i have seen one demo, is it where you have 2 moniters (stopping here would really make me sound like a complete idiot :P and when you drag a window past the right side of the left moniter it shows up on the right?

Umm benefit is a big screen area!!
Commonly you'll find them used in GIS/CAD enteprises! Or ppl needing a big area to display there graphics properly.
For instance we have a few dual 21 inch monitors so we can view datasets and maps etc.
Most of these programs use layers with 1 monitor you can view 1 at a time or real small version of 2 which is not practcial with 2 monitors you can view both.

Here's my desktop:
http://www.justinb.net/dualdesktops.gif
The first one runs at 1280x1024, the second one only runs at 1024x768 because it's powered by a ****ty 2MB PCI video card :( does the job though
As you see I keep IMs and Winamp and my dashboard on the second monitor, and other stuff on the first...when I'm designing sites, Dreamweaver tool windows go on the second screen. When I'm working on NXSupport the admin CP goes in the second screen and the site goes on the first screen. ETC...there are many uses for it, just like as Beacon said also for CAD but I don't use CAD...
Very well worth it, if you have the money and the desk space.
