I've been seeing the term "URI" a lot lately, as opposed to "URL"
What's "URI" and has it replaced "URL" in terminology?

I am not sure why that term has become so popular lately. Its really the same thing as URL except it covers a broader area.

Oh. Thanks.
Here is a good resource over URL, URI, and URN.

So basically they're the same thing, kinda? A URL is a URI. A URI is just a broader base of things?
URI can be defined as a Uniform Resource Name (URN) or a Uniform Resource Location (URL), URL is defined by 1) Web Address, 2) FTP Address, 3) Mailto Address
I have not done much research or URN's so I really cannot explain that just yet.

Yes. It is a broader URL as it also contains URN inside of it.
Alright. Thanks for your help :)
