I just looked at my site in Netscape Navigator 4, and it looks like hell warmed over. ***?
My site validates as HTML 4.01, so why does half the stuff not show properly in Navigator 4?

Because Navigator sucks.
And I'm sure my viewers are going to take that as a reasonable excuse when they visit my page and it looks like a dump yard.
As soon as the world starts using only one browser, I will agree with you that Netscape sucks, but until then, a large portion of my viewers choose to use that "sucky" browser.
I know you mean well, somewhere in your small adolescent mind, but please stop responding to my posts. I learned long ago that all you're capable of is ignorant blabbering, and I've chosen a few times before to ignore your reponses (which I will humbly do now).
Don't respond telling me how old you are or what kind of degrees or certifications and what-not you have. Because I really don't care.
So this thread is now yours, do what you may.
Wow. Is this the point at which you run home to mommy?Quote:

Look, you stated the obvious, "my compliant site looks like crap in this old browser". I stated the obvious, "that old browser sucks".
What were you expecting? I can't make it better. Either you write a complaint site or you don't. Just because their browser is broken doesn't mean you have to break your site, does it?
If this thread had actually asked for some sort of help, some sort of, "how can I..." then I might have been able to help more. As it is, we both just stated the obvious.
I'll give some unsolicited advice. If you want, don't use HTML 4, use 3. Navigator should've have had the best support for 3 when it was released. I'm not sure, but you can give it a try.
Hell, while I'm on it...
No, they won't. But is that your fault? You can't solve all the world's problems.Quote:

The world will never (and should never) use just one browser. But we do have, and have had for some time, just one standard.Quote:

Actually only 6% of internet users use any klind of Netscape browser
Is that stat from NetCraft?
Im trying to find out where i got my stats. I found it a while back and I know its on my PC in ohio but right now I am in Texas so that does me no good.
I will post it when I find it.
Here are two that support my accusation:

I have log files from 1997 or so when 75% of my visiters ran Netscape...
My point being IE could just as easily be a non-player in a couple years, especially when they have so much market share right now - its more likely to decrease than increase.
