How long does it take you to get to work?
when i cycle: 40mins
on the bus: 1 hour
20 minutes
It takes me two hours on the two days per week that I'm in London. :(
It takes fifteen seconds on the other three days. :)
5 mins on a good day , 15 mins otherwise
It depends how much time I spend at Morag's school admiring the classwork and getting 5'd by all her buddies, not to mention chatting up the Moms.
But during school hols, when I go straight to work, 10mins max.
Pre 9/11 15 mins
After 9/11 30 to 45 mins depending on the little boys with M-16's:(
Around 4 hours Monday morning/Friday evening, the rest of the time it's just the time it takes to smoke a ***.
40 minutes when in my base office (forgotten where that is though  )
15 mins.
I love it.
Went from 1 hour each way (nasty)
25 mins by car.
2 hours by public transport.
Oh so you pass out drunk at the office too, eh?Quote:

I think Katie means that security on the base is a bit tighter, sonce last September.
10 minutes on fine days, 15 minutes on soft days - cycling..
The base security has become paranoid to the point of ridiculousness!
45 minutes on a good day, up to an hour depending on the idiots driving slowly on what are probably the most difficult roads to overtake on
why, what happened on the 9th of November? :p ;)Quote:

I lost my virginity  Goofball! :p
why did they tighten security because of that...;)
They were afraid all the young servicemen would be servicing me instead of keeping their minds on their work! :D
Well something had to be tightened up to keep the balance... :pQuote:

:D LOL@Parksie!
LOL :D so you're a danger to national security ;)
That about sums it up! :p
She's too busy distracting the little boys with big toys (not *those* toys...) on her way in :D
Those kid's voices haven't even changed yet....and I'm pretty sure some of the don't even shave yet!
At the moment.... it takes about 2 seconds. 4 seconds if I decide not to be naked.
Ever since then, Katie's been what Flussie calls 'narrow minged"Quote:

an ideal work morning.
Wake up just before the alarm, one-and-a-half hours before I'm due to start. Shower and dress leisurely, eat a healthy nutritious breakfast and perhaps check my emails. Set off for work half an hour before my start time. Find a convenient parking space, get into work, fetch a brew and log on ten minutes early for work so I can catch up on the previous days events and check any necessary memos before I start.
a realistic work morning.
Sleep through the alarm. Wake up 15 minutes before I'm due to start work in a pool of drool. Leap into clothes and stagger out to my car. Floor the accelerator and scream along at about 45-50 mph. Handbrake into 2 or 3 parking spaces and sprint for my desk. neglect to clock in as i'm about 5 minutes late but note that my boss hasnt seen me yet.
So, I'd say between 15 and 30 minutes depending on traffic.
Where's the quickie? That would help make the morning a little more ideal. :)Quote:

It takes me about 45 minutes because I leave before the traffic gets bad. I get in about 40 minutes early, but if I leave the house any later, it would take nearly twice as long to get there.
:)
fair point, but since I don't live with the missus, that's another couple of miles onto the journeytime. :)Quote:

Well, as long as we're talking "ideal," maybe she should do the travelling, fix you breakfast, and take care of those other little details. :)Quote:

Not trying to be sexist here. If we were talking about her "ideal" morning, it would be just the opposite, right?
