MS Word 97 - how to save picture?

I have a word doc with pictures embedded. I want to save them. I dont want to have to use the Save As Html workaround, as thats tacky (cant be bothered looking at the .gif files one at a time to see which is the one i want).

If i drag the pic off the page, i get a tedious `scrap` object. I just want to click on the pic, then hit a key, or choose a menu option, or right click then choose and option - and then save the picture.

How do i do this?

You can copy it to the clipboard then paste it in to paint, then save it that way.
