Hullo there :)
I am doing ok thanks, all things considered. My social life is better than it was a few months ago, but my job has become mind-numbingly tedious and I am getting pretty pissed off with it. There are/is a certain person/people that are becoming very difficult to work with and are really getting on my nerves, but I guess that's life when you work in an office full of geeks. Social skills aren't really top priority.
Looking forward to getting back to uni, if only because of the eye candy ;) Working in a 100% male office isn't exactly my ideal job (you may feel differently of course), but thankfully the female numbers in my social circles are on the increase. I'm moving house in a couple of months, back to Guildford (the town my university is in) ready for the final year, and I'm moving in with a good friend of mine and 2 music student girls that are just finishing their first year, which is good. Been living with the same good friend and one other guy all this year and the other guy is a bit of a recluse, he has been really annoying me over the last few months. He's always talking about bloody computers and Unix and complaining about how much bandwidth we use on the cable modem connection and stuff. I am seriously wondering if the guy has Asperger's syndrome or something.
Anyway, yeah, life's good and bad in different ways at the moment, but hopefully getting better in the near future.
I feel a bit better now having bitched and moaned, thanks for asking :)
How's life with you?
I have the same problem with the mind-numbing tedium at work but all in all I'm happy with the way my life is going. The kids are all busy and happy. I got a new puppy Friday which has consumed most of our time this weekend. Do you go back to Uni in the fall or are you doing a summer session?
I hope you're not dissing people who have Aspergers
I'm not dissing them unless they're pissing me off, in which case I reserve the right to ***** about it whatever their problem is
Back to uni in September; work is due to finish at the beginning of August but I'm seriously considering quitting early at the moment. I'll give it a couple more weeks and see if I'm still in the same rut, anyway.
What kind of puppy? Everybody loves puppies
An eight week old chocolate lab. Her name is Symphony! She's adorable.........but a bit of a brat too!
What kind of a hippie name is that? ;) Well say "Hey Dog" from me :)
Do you find work is basically a chore 90% of the time? Or is it just boring at the moment? My job was great up until a month or two ago, but maybe that's just because it was fairly new.
I have a very mature system that is stable and very few new requirements. If the requirements do come in they are just quick little jobs. I love the requirements gatherings, designing and developing phase then the testing comes and it's a little less fun but once it's fully developed it is snoozeville!!! I'm just ready to move on!!!!
mmm chocolate .. :pQuote:

Here is my three guesses:
1) One of the clan was a Beethoven movie fan
2) You named it after that Lotus product from a fair few years back
3) You were looking for a word that rhymed with Nympho :D
Symphony Barr
Hershey's Chocolate Symphony Barr
we all play more than one instrument and often have our own symphony going in our house.
She's a piece of work!
and.............it rhymes with nympho!!!!!!!;)
Geeez Katie... got to love that.. you have had the puppy for one day.. and already some Aussie has renamed it something silly... henceforth katie's puppy will be known as Sympho the Nympho... lol.. good one BB :D:D:D:D
And Harry...
G'day sorry to hear you are bored at work.. but then work is basically boring most of the time..... glad to hear your social life is rocking though :D
