Set up an ODBC connection in control panel (also under Admin on Win NT/2000), and specify the path to the remote computer in the options.
i am using winXP in mu computer and the database computer has 2000..then how can i set in XP...plz hlp.
It doesn't matter what version of Windows the other machine has, just set up an ODBC connection. I dont know where on XP you set it though, just try where I said before.
i have tried it on the 2000 but i was not able to find the "OPTIONS" anywhere there where i can set the path.please define ur suggession where can i find that....
Depends on which database you are using.. if it is access then there is a button for "select database", which allows you to browse for the file.
Others just have a textbox for you to put the database name into, in which case you need to enter the full path.
