If it leans more to C++ then it should be more powerful than VB

Vb consumes less time is more efficient. I only program in Visual Basics! :)

Actually, Delphi is just as easy as VB, but it doesnt use the runtimes and is a full OOP language.

Delphi and C++ are both written by Borland yes?
