Hi,
I am using the P&D wizard to install a VB application developed in NT to another NT system. I get the following error message while installation:
"A system file was found to be outdated. Click OK and restart the computer to update the file"
When I click on OK, I get this message..
"You do not have access or permissions to update this system file(C:\Winnt\System\stdole32.tlb)"
When I restart the computer and run set-up, I still get the error message. Also, I have logged into the computer with full permissions.
Any ideas..!!

tzachari, you have to be logged on with administrator
priveleges to update the file Windows NT needs to
have updated. Look in the user manager and see if the
username you are logged in as is a member of the
administrator group on the machine, or domain you
logging on to. If not, log on as Administrator, then
install your program.

I came into this world with nothing, and I still
have most of it.

it doesn't matter if the account has domain admin rights.. you just need local admin rights (you can have domain admin rights and not have local admin rights). If you try to open the administrators group in user manager and you get an error, you don't have the correct rights..
