SQL 7.0 Deadlocks

Hi,
Since the time we upgraded our application to SQL Server 7.0 from 6.5, we have been getting a lot of the foll. errors:
"[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Your
transaction (process ID #31) was deadlocked with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun your transaction.
"
The same sql statements rarely produced deadlocks under 6.5.
Could anybody let me know when upgrading to 7.0 from 6.5, what are the programming issues we would need to look into?
