OK this is rather odd, my PCI NIC card, D-link DFE-530TX+ is connected to a router...it has these little indicator lights to show whether there's a connection or not...When all the computers are off but still connected, all their appropriate lights go out on teh router except for mine. Yep my computer is off but it still looks on the router as if it's on.
I don't have wake-on-LAN enabled either.
Just wondering what causes that? Thanks.
i have heard of that other places, noone i know has really found a solution, if it works, who cares. My bios (for some unknown reason) is detecting my hard drive as a network drive. It works great still and as long as it continues to do so i won't put the time/energy into fixing it
mine does that same thing, guess its detected as being there
You have the ATX case plugged into a powerstrip, and if so, do you turn it off?
Does the card support WOL even though its disabled? - it could be getting standby power and just set to ignore the WOL packets.Quote:
