We may be idiots, but they still have to live down Paul Hogan and Yahoo Serious.
;):p
Hmmm... may use the fact that the best you can up with is 2 comedians as ammo too... :p
and that's where I thought you got most of your material :confused:Quote:

No-one said they were good comedians... :p
Ok, we all know seppos are dumb ... but bloooooooody 'ell !!!!
Only 65 million years out. I blame Racquel Welch !!!Quote:
The earliest humans lived at the same time as the dinosaurs. (False. Dinosaurs died off millions of years before humans appeared.) 48 percent.
Don't know what is more embarrassing,
The fact that us seppos (as a whole) are poor at science questions,
or the Blatantly anti-religious leftist comments inserted by CNN.
:D
Those blatant anti-religious comments were probably warranted. I can't think of another western country which (in certain places) teaches creationism over evolution.
- gaffa
Good point Gaffa,
Wasn't it just a few years back that some school district (in the US)
was throwing away it's evolution science books to teach
creationism in the schools?
This country amazes me every day. :)
Yeah, Georgia I think. It's scary stuff - Dubya seems to complain about these crazy terrorists being indoctrinated with all manner of wacky ideas, but the same thing is happening in his back yard.
- gaffa
While Dubya does seem to complain about the terrorists, and their are wacky ideas being introduced here, I whould like to point out that thier is a LARGE difference between the ideas being indoctrinated here, and what is taught in school over there.
While creationists on the average are law-abiding citizens, a terrorists idea of a good time is killing innocent civilians while commiting suicide.
Oops, sorry about that, I forgot to be Politicly Correct. I'm just a gun-tot'in conserative, and I sometimes forget myself. What I meant was that a terrorists idea of a good time is myrtering him/herself while killing worthless infidal dogs. :o
gaffa, ya, America isn't perfect, that's for sure, but
as TKY said, it ain't nearly as bad.
I don't think you can compare teaching creationism vs evolutionism in the US to teaching.... The Koran. (that's all, nothing else)
in Afghanistan. Both are incorrect (no not the Koran, the idea that that is ALL you learn)
but the US is a much less significant problem.
Umm.... JPicasso, when you're trying to defend our schools, and then write stuff like this, it's hard not to laugh. I had to read it twice to figure out what you were trying to say. Yay public education! :pQuote:

It was something about the excessive use of comments within parentheses (such as when he provides more information about the original sentence as an aside, instead of as an integral part of the sentence). This and a disorganised argument leads to ... damn, I got no idea. Gotta go and feed the pet Protoceratops :)
Nothing (overly) wrong with excessive (or at least regular) use of parentheses (or should that be parenthesii)...
- (gaffa)
How am I to defend a flawed (and possibly incurable(in it's present incarnation))
education system when I hadd to suffer (with others and myself)
through it? I remember (though vaguely) diagraming sentences
but never really caught on the idea of using (though I do like it) parenthases.
(or spelling)
Ya, I read my post and wanted to slap myself silly too.
At least you only had to read it twice. I've posted things
here and elsewhere that I still don't get. :D
What were we talking about?
Well, I didn't want to say this, but actually I read it three times and in the end I never did understand what you were trying to say. You make America proud man. Good on ya. :)Quote:
