Hi, anyone here a guru on win2k?
ask a question?
:)
Does log in scripting work on a stand alone win 2k professional system set as a workgroup, not a domain.
I will elaborate a bit more. All the help files for logon scripting talk about the *.cmd file being kept in the winnt/system32/repl/import location but this does not exist on my computer. I think it is left over help from the NT help files.
The other thought I had is that I need server edition to use logon scripting, or I need to run the computer as a part of a domain, but as yet I cant figure out how to do this.
Go to Network connections then right click Properties.
Then Secuirty tab(you may need to be administrator) then select the logon script!!
What network connections. The trouble is that each OS MS has bought out has totally different way of doing things. I am logged in as the administrator and there is no security tab or any other tabs on any network pages.
The whole thing is starting to give me the s**** as what I want to do is quite simple.
