It is a long process, but read that news article, and it will get you pissed off enough to do it.

I downloaded ad-aware after hearing things about KaZaa. It took care of the KaZaa issue (it said, but how can I be sure?) as well as a lot of other stuff on my system that isn't attributed to KaZaa.
Personally, I think that anybody who has anything they want protected, should have two computers. One just for surfing the net and the other for whatever you want protected. Unfortunately, that's not exactly a cheap solution for a lot of people. When my other computer comes out of storage, all my documents, projects, financial stuff etc is coming off this computer permanently and it will be my online computer. So if I get a virus or something I can't get rid of, I can reformat and reload in a couple hours and be good to go without losing anything important.
www.winmx.com folks...
a clean version of kazaa is much better.
Im pretty sure the WinMX network is larger, but i hate its interface.
I hate it too but it's just overall better, IMO.Quote:

You know.... I feel like someone (me) needs to point out that the purpose of p2p is to steal software. I don't think that makes spyware right, but if you use it and bad things happen, you kind of deserve what you get. I do it to, so I'm not separating myself. Just pointing it out.
http://www.blubster.com/ owns for MP3s
damn straight. If you do it, take the consequences.Quote:

yeah but you don't need a glorified downloader (that potentially has spyware bolted on) to get/share jpegs :p
mp3 are ripped from copyrighted media though. Again, I don't have a real issue with that in and of itself. My real issue with any of it is when people become indignant about one illegal activity, but actively condone other illegal activities. I'm a criminal, so it's all good with me :)
No, but they do have one like that. It's called Netscape :D :D :DQuote:
