one has M$ all over it and the other one doesn't.
one is proprietar and the onther one is free.
that about sums it all up :)
PHP will work with any server, I think ASP requires IIS
ASP.NET or old ASP. ASP.NET's WebForms stink, so PHP would be better.
ASP can run Apache if you have something called ____ from Chilisoft...but of course who'd want to pay for that when you've got PHP ;)Quote:

I know only a LITTLE PHP, so I dunno that much about these stuff, but it seems too easy:p
one of my friends was saying that PHP is faster in database stuff, is it right?
PHP works well with mySQL, but while mySQL is one of the fastest and easiest dbs out there, it's also one of the least featurefull.
*uses the mention of SQL to his advantage* where would be the best place to go to learn how to use it? Recommend any tutorials or example sites out there?
