does anyone have any recomendations besides KDE?
I heard "blackbox" is good if your on a slow system
Then again I don't know much about this.
yeah, Wynd (on this forum) uses blackbox. i don't like the look of it that much though. and my system isin't that slow. any others?
Although I prefer KDE myself, Gnome or Windowmaker are good...
Gnome is really slow for me. Perhaps i should just stick with KDE
consensus seems to be that its' the best one out there....Quote:

Anyways i interupted my script writing and used EE(Electric Eyes) to take a ss.
Else by looking at that SS i posted i'd say they used GIMP to do it.
Let me know if you need more details!

X-Windows anyone .... got a version with Red Hat 7.1 which loaded and ran okay, but am used to seeing unix so maybe biased on it....
Gnome Here.
During Installation, I was told that KDE didn't support multiple window instances, and Gnome Did.
What made you go for KDE? And Gnome is fast here for me, consider this as well: I have a P2/333 MHz. Pretty slow processor, but it's working pretty fast for me :)
What are you talking about? Blackbox is equal to the rockzor :D Besides, if you don't like how it looks you can always theme it or change it how you want.
how did you take the screen shot with electric eyes?
1)Right click on Electric Eyes window and select View and then Show/Hide Edit Window. Another window should pop up on your screen.
2)Click the lowest, rightmost button in the edit window. This button brings up a dialog asking you to select a window to grab pixels/images from.
3)Click OK and the cursor will change to a question mark like icon.
Select the window you wish to make an image from by clicking in that window.
4) A new dialog box pops up for Grab Options. You probably want to make sure that the Hide EE windows checkbox is checked, and that the Number of seconds to wait is set to zero.
5)The window image you grabbed should pop up in the Main window
6)To save the file, right click on the image, and select File -> Save as.
thanks :)
is it just me or is that program really hard to use
?
Nope takes a bit to get used to!
Try gimp you can download that for free!! :)
