How do I convert a standard windows filename and path to it's MS-DOS counterpart?
Ex: C:\My Folder\Project.exe --> C:\MyFold~1\Project.exe
The File System object has a short name parameter.
You could just use that.

it gifs no problem if the file-name's have a maxlengt from 8 chr()
