.ColumnLabel problem

Hi all;

I cannot seem to make .ColumnLabel put sensible text on the Legend of my MSChart. I have read the library and tried to adapt the example Label Z thingy but it either gets ignored under certain circumstances or removes all the labelling from the entire chart at others without actually labelling the legend. ( which is ,surprisingly perhaps, a bit annoying!!). Can someone explain the syntax for putting the series names on the legend so folk know what the lines actually mean?( without stripping the rest of the chart in the process).
