I was thinking about trying to learn delphi as a second programming language.
Would anybody recommend it?
And no of any good tutorial sites or books?
I haven't heard that much about delphi, but what I have heard I like.
And does anyone know boards like this for delphi???
I've been told is basically a more visual version of pascal, but what I have also been told that it is not very hard to run before you walk it a matter of words, by just starting with delphi rather than learning pascal first. Is that true?
thanx

Delphi?"!?!/%#)(¤/&#¤(/
If youre considering learning a second or new first language for GOD sake chose Visual C++ not delphi and pascal. C++ is the most powerful programming language in the world and is the most useful. Visual basic is also good to know for windows apps. Though Microsoft Windows and Visual Basic is programmed in C++. Learn Visual C++ 6.0

I agree
There is a lot more C++ documentation, ss it would be easier to learn.
Learn C++. Delphi would be OK if it were made by Microsoft (no jokes) but
it's not mainstream. C++ would look good and you can do loads of stuff
that you can't do in VB.
Learn Microsoft VC++.

While you owe it to yourself to eventually learn C++, I highly recommend Delphi. Check http://www.vbda.com/Newsletters/99-12_NullWriter.htm
A very good Delphi site is http://www.torry.ru/
