I thought hard drives were configured through BIOS/CMOS?
There's some disk manager doohickey that lets you make partitions, IIRC. If not grab a copy of PartitionMagic. :)

Is all ready good to go on BIOS, now need to format and set in Win2k disk manager...pfft disk setup utilities, windows handles it okay...just need a pointer to where Win2k has got it hidden....

My crappy work machine can't save as JPEGs or GIFs, so here's a bitmap:
you right click on My Computer and select Manage. You will get the screen Filbert has zipped - Disk Management.
