At the moment only Administrators can move a thread from one forum to another.
Seeing as there are so mamy new forums now, it would be handy for the thread starter to be able to move old and forgotten about threads from the General VB forum to a more apropriate one.
Alternativly make me an Administrator;);)

That Idea gets the coveted Sam Finch Thumbs up award, given out willy nilly on the spur of the moment. Also a way of suggesting to someone that they move their thread, ie if someone puts a thread in general questions and it's blatently an API question then a little Icon to suggest they move it would be good, or a way of flashing up a message saying "It has been suggested that you move this thread to the API forum or something, I'm British so I think it would be terribly rude to post a message telling them to move it, a subtle way would be nice.
-
Sam, I'm obviously very politically incorrect because I still consider myself to be English rather than British!
:)
-
I think there should be an user option to "suggest to move this thread to a forum" that mails John about it. So that he may consider moving them
-
That's it! Let him decide to move it!
-
Why am I being polliticly incorrect, I'm British and I'm English, the fact is it's the British who have a reputation for this sort of thing so It sounds better that way, We're just about the only nation that has the guts to poke fun at ourselves.
Please don't tell me you thought I was an American Taking the piss, I wouldn't be happy.
-
Letting users move threads could be a hassle. People could start moving threads for the fun of it ans screw people up bad.
-
Just look at my suggestion, megatron
-
Wouldn't that be a long process then?
-
I don't think anyone would abuse their thread moving priveliges, Nobody goes back and changes what their post is called or anything.
