how many ppl here are currently using in any way Python?
so does this mean i'll the sole resident Python expert here?:D
If you tell me what in the hell Jython is, then I guess you are.
Have you used VisualPython? And was it worth it?
Jython = Java + Python - a version of Python written entirely in Java.
I intend to learn Python someday, but I'll probably try Ruby first...

i hear ruby isn't any good, anyone hear differently?
Ruby supposedly "brings the joy back to programming." There was an article on it in a recent Linux magazine.
check this out, i haven't botherd looking at Ruby, but this is partially why:

So that's one person's opinion - try it and decide for yourself. You'll find someone that vehemently hates anything.
And you will find that anyone who vehemently hates Perl is probably a moron. :P
It has been a while since I've had "joy" in programming. I blame it on all this VB lately.
well PERL is interesting from a compsci perspective by i wouldn't use it w/o especially having to
i use java for serious **** and for other stuff (like homework!)
i use python, i like highly OOP languages, oh yeah for frustration i use Intercal :p
