I am in need of writing some 16 bit code... yeah, I know... I no longer have VB 3 or VB 4 to compile 16 bit... I knew I should have saved that... oh well. Does anybody out there know where one could find VB 3 or VB 4 ?
Thanks!

*reports you to microsoft* you crazy?? we're not gunna help u get illegal software...
Put a request out on EBay. Maybe someone has one of those version hanging out that they haven't tossed yet, and would be willing to sell for little or nothing. :)
if i could find the time id temporarily put it on my server for u 2 d/l (i was kiddin about the above post BTW) but i don't have the time... and id have to find the disks
Now why did I think of that, Hack?
Thanks. I guess I'll have to cut back on the stupid pills.
E-bay is loaded with VB software and materials.
Thanks again!
Well if your going to get it legally, which I doubt, I think you can find it on Microsoft's Website.
Don't know why u want to use Vb3, it sucks.
I would kind of go along with Pc_Madness concerning VB3. If you need to write some 16bit code, I'd try for VB4, if at all possible (although Lords knows I wrote a ton of programs using VB3! :D )
I've written code in VB3 to 6, and between 3 or 4, 4 is a lot better and has a nicer IDE. 4 also comes in a 32bit version (I know it doesn't apply here), and introduced support for OCXs (before that it was VBX files).
Is there a big difference between Vb3 and 4? I've tried to do some stuff in Vb3, and half of the stuff I tried to do wouldn't work (wonder why). A really annoying thing about VB3 is that it doesn't have an Object Browser/or the thing that pops up when u do Control. So I have no idea what events each controls has.
Are there two different versions of VB 4 then? Or is it one peice of software with the ability to compile either 16 bit or 32 bit?
