Double Data Rate SDRAM or RAMBUS? What is faster? Would you opt for DDR pc1600(200 Mhz) or just go for pc2100(266Mhz)? Or is RAMBUS the way to go? Comments and Suggetsions are welcome. :D

is RAMBUS rdram?
if it is, go with ddrsdram, with rdram you need to upgrade in pairs, and its generally annoying
Also RDRAM last time I checked was only for Intel systems and what's more, was insanely expensive.
Rambus is MARGINALLY faster than DDR-SDRAM with added cost and trouble.
DDR on an AMD system is the way to go.
Rambus is very expensive, Intel only, and on it's way out. DDR is teh way to go.
I think even Intel have backed out of the rambus-only route they were taking, and started making chipsets that support DDRRAM. It was a good idea but way way way too expensive.
Yes, they are phasing out the i850 quickly. Now it will die off in the i860 (Xeon Rambus chip)Quote:
