the gayness of 8.0 has made this impossible,
I have winamp, windows media player, quicktime, and real player installed right now...
they should work fine together
You can always go to Folder Options, choose the file type, and make a new item like "launch with WiMP" or "Launch with Winamp" so when you right-click it will show something
Or I'm sure you could easily make some sort of program that it tries to open MP3 files with, and instead of playing them your program could tell the program of your choice to play the file
Go to start > run and type mplayer2, I THINK this brings up Windows Media Player 6.4, at least it does in Win2k. Yes I have WiMP 7 installed and I can still access 6.4
WOAH, thats awesome! i have been wondering how to do that.Quote:

But when you have an old computer, WOW, it's sooooo slow :(
It just has too much junk in it. All i need it for is videos, and so all that other stuff just gets in the way.
for video i use intervideo windvd, for music winamp, the only thing i use WMP for is .WMA files
It plays MPEG video?Quote:

it plays all the video formats i have tried on it. It is a great program
It works on my XP, but for some reason I can't actually find mplayer2 on my system. Where is it? :confused:Quote:

Windows XP search is the worst
try mplayer2.*
Nope, I even tried mplayer2.exe and nothing
Is there a way to search in a console ("command prompt"?)
Yet it opens when you do Start > Run? :confused:Quote:
