NetSend

Could some tell me really quick how to use netsend?

i want to send the message "hi" to a computer called "lab3"

open up the command window and type net send lab3 Hi or type it in the run box of windows.

thanks for your help. one more question:

are all computers able to do the send command?

i typed in
net send lab3 Hi
at the run box and it says it doesn't recognise the "send" command.

you need a computer with 2K on it and i think XP does it as well, but i am not sure, what OS are you running ?

works in NT 4 too.

Net command is included in most versions of windows but Send only works for NT 4+ based machines (2k, XP)
