Direct X

I have vb 5 and direct x version 7 installed on my computer and yet when i try this code
Dim DX7 As New DirectX7
Dim DS As DirectSound
Dim dsBuffer(2) As DirectSoundBuffer

it gives me the error User Defined Type not Supported

Did you reference the DX development kit under Project/References yet?
