DirectX7 in DirectX8?

Hi, i downloaded DirectX8 and i never had directx 7 or 8 before...
my question is, even though i downloaded DirectX8 can i declare
directx7 objects?

Yep, you can even declare as directx1 if you want. I advise downloading the directx7 SDK aswell, as the documentation is better if you plan on using the directx7 interfaces.

Yep, you should get the DX7 SDK for the docs, especially since DX8 removed DDraw(you can still use DDraw7).
