Webbrowser and Word

I am experiencing unusual results when using the webbrowser control to view .RTF files.

If MSWord is already running and, after the .RTF file has been loaded in my application, I switch back to Word, the controls/menu etc are disabled. Not only that but I find that the file in my application is now locked!

Any help on this issue would be very gratefully received as I am going out of my mind on this one!

is this is you have the rtf open in word already and then you view it in your app, or just if word is running???

Any document (.rtf, .doc) can be loaded in Word, totally unrelated to one I am viewing in my application. It seems to be an issue with using the same Word object, though my knowledge in this area is sketchy to say the least!
