How to read Memory mapped file

Hi

My problem is to read a bitmap which will be available as a memory mapped file...can any one tell me how do i do this using VB 6
I'm in urgent need for the solution

my apologies, but how do define read? Do you want to read the
text in the picture, move the picture, steal part of the picture?

I need to get the image that is present in the memory mapped file into a file on to the hard disk and also i need to display that image on a picture box in my VB application
