I have a MIDI compatible keyboard. I was wondering how i could hook it up to my computer (i know its possible). I would have to buy a MIDI cable, but i'm not sure what the cable would plug into on my computer side. Anyone got any info on this?

you would need an audio card that would support the midi input
or you can buy a seperate pci card just for midi

Can it perhaps be hooked up through the game port? cause i don't have the money for another sound card right now...
yea i think there are some connectors that will let you connect it to your gameport
your game port is your midi port that is what it was origianlly designed for  :p
You can get cables that are joystick at one end, and two midi connectors (in and out) on the other.
Note that you plug the "in" cable into the "out" on your keyboard...
Thanks, i didnt know the game port was meant for that.Quote:

No, you plug it from your MIDI keyboard into your soundcard...
