*** you spend more money on cooling than the computer itself. Just store your computer in the fridge for gods sake! it would probably be cheaper.
Seriously, I've actually been thinking about buying one of the cheap tiny fridges, and throwing my computer in there... Have an insulated hole for the wires, and it might just let me get my temps below 40.... on a friking duron!!!
why did you buy a duron. Thats barely above a celeron.
please refer to the comic for a graphical illustration of the order of chips
whoops forgot to include the graphic

Because I'm a 14 year old without a job? :D:D:D
I plan on upgrading to an AXP 1800+ in a couple months, my comp should bring jpbtennisman's to it's knees....
I saved up all summer to by mine
Yeah, I'm currently daving to buy a Gainward Geforce3 ti450, which has acheived better than ti500 numbers... for half the price... Then I'm going to actually buy the system in my sig...:D
And then you're going to blow your money on a 32 bit system while at the end of the year I buy a 64 bit Clawhammer :D :D :D :D :DQuote:

Of course I'm going to O/C!! Just not with LNO2.... I have a dual fan thing on my chip right now, which should work for a while, until I can buy the Alpha 8045 or whatever it is, a 60mm to 92mm converter, and this 92mm 100 cfm fan... THEN I'm going to overclock the crap out of it... Not to mention my HIGHLY overclockable ti200 I'm getting... As in ti500 or better speeds....
I'm getting a new PC in september so I'm intrigued as to what the state of 32/64 stuff will be by then.Quote:

My XP1700 is clocked to XP1900 speeds, and the FSB is also higher. Add that to the Epox mainboard, and yeah, that explains it...Quote:

AMD's clawhammer is the only x86-64 chip. Intel is working on a new technology called Yamhill which is basically the same thing. But they are only using it if that useless 'Itanic' processor fails  :p
BTW we nickname it 'Itanic' because it sunk just like the Titanic. :p
damn I should have let you keep ur Dell :D :D :DQuote:

The fact that nobody's written any 64-bit x86 code except for MS probably had something to do with it ;)Quote:

Yeah, Intel kinda jumped the gun on 64 bit, and the real problem with Itanic is, that it sucks at 32 bit apps. You are better off with a low end Celeron to run 32 bit apps than you are with an Itanic.Quote:

AMDs processor however is going to run 32 bit and 64 bit apps with flying colors.
Intel has this technology (or so they claim :D :D :D), but they spent billions on Itanic, and they don't want to blow it all right away.
