-= Times Of War Networking Test =-
As some of you may have noticed there has been an on going project in the Communication Forum - Times Of War.
Times Of War is a 3D RTS game project started around September last year, using C++ and Direct X. The general overview of the game can be found at:

Crystal Rain
Around Christmas last year the very first demo of the game was released showing off the graphics engine written by Zaei. Now it is time for a networking test. We are looking for people to download the attached client program and to join in the testing of world-wide scale use of the client and server.
Information

The program that needs testing is just a simple chat application. Once it has been downloaded the program should be run and the IP address and Port should be entered. The username should be the same as the one for vb-forums, once a username has been looged onto the server no-one else can log on using the same name ! Then from the File menu Logon should be selected and the client will connect to the server. to chat enter data into the big text box and press enter.
Server&Port

This information will be posted once the server is up and running on the day of the test, it has to be done like this because the PC hosting the server has a changing IP.
Time
-----
The server will be running from about 1.00pm GMT Sunday 27th January.
There will be a server running from the time of this post until about 10.00pm GMT Sunday 23 January. Server IP = 213.78.22.132, Port = 50
Bugs
------
If any bugs are found in the software at any time, before, during or after the test please email the specs of your PC, windows version, winsock version (if known) and whether a firewall is used or not to [email protected]
IMPORTANT
--------------
If a servere bug is found in the server during the test the bug shall be fixed and the server restarted asap. If such does occur then a message will be posed to this thread.
