Searching for my threads ...

I dunno exactly, but I think I had raised this point way back. I am repeating myself once again for a second time. ;)

When I click the link <Search all posts by this user>, wouldn't it be nice if it returned the threads instead of the posts? I mean I posted in one thread about 3 times, and in the search it returns three posts. That's unnecessary. I use it mainly to see if there have been any new posts to the threads in which I have posted. And one link per thread is enough for me.

Can we have an option to search for Threads instead of Posts? Each thread has an ID, I guess, so it's maybe just the DISTINCT word that needs to be used....

Unless you mean search for threads that you started which would be a cool feature.

But wouldn't it be cool (or cooler) if this was available in your user profile?

After all how many of us want to review each post we make every day?

I'm saying AFAIK you can't search for threads started by a certain user which I've wished you could do...

TRY to make the reply not have "Well ..." as the subject and a trailing period in the text. :p

You misunderstood me. All I am saying is that the search that you quoted in your earlier reply should be the search in the user profile. Not like the present one where each post by the user is returned.

And the Well and the period are my style. I have cultivated this since I joined VB Forums, and have no reason to abandon it. Have you got any?
