INI Files...Using the information I gather

Ok, I am getting information from a .cfg file that I have created but I am using the INI method of receiving this info. Basically it is like this:

Getting a string from TEMP.CFG
Dir=C:\HAHA

Saving the string as strDir

Wanting to use that as a part of knowing where things need to be saved.

Example

save file to C:\HAHA\DEBUG.LOG
well,
strDir & "\DEBUG.LOG" does not equal C:\HAHA\DEBUG.LOG,
it only gives me the strDir and leaves out the DEBUG.LOG part. Why? How can I make this work?

I don't understand what's wrong. Unless you have
Dim strDir as String *10

Code:

dir tmp as string
dir mypath as string
mypath =strDir &"\DEBUG.LOG"
' this WILL put whatever is in strDir and \DEBUG.LOG
' in the same string
' don't use strDir to store changes.
