I wouldn't be surprised if it is very difficult or impossible but is there a way to toggle the "Disable in this hardware profile" box on the device property screens for hardware in the device manager? I hope to be able to use VB6 and perform this on a Win95 machine. I don't have enough IRQ's and I have to switch back and forth for my modem and printer port :(
I know this a long shot. Thanks.

You can set up multiple profiles under Win9x, just select the appropriate one when you boot up, depending on what's connected.
No API's required!!
