MAPI IN VB..??

Hello Friend...
I just wanted to know exactly what is MAPI & why it is used in VB.......

MAPI is an acronym for MAIL APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACE

You use it so you can send and read email, along with many other email/contact management functions.
