I would but my 83 got busted when I cracked it open with a flathead screwdriver. :D
Is it in assembly or ultra-slow TI-BASIC? :(
busted it open? thats funny. umm yeah sorry its in ULTRA slow TI-BASIC because i dont know ASM. i wish i did..........
i'll have a look...
I opened it before to fix a battery problem (the calc wouldn't turn on so you had to smash it on a desk to get it working :D), and now the linkport got busted and I just ended up breaking the entire calculator. I took the opportunity to creatively rearrange the buttons, though. Now the "On" button is the "Math" button. :DQuote:

there goes $100 out the window...:D
next time get an 89. they are much better.
I already have a 92+. :p Besides, I got the 83 in 3th grade (I'm in 12th now) for only $70, so it was past its time (and warranty :D).
sweet, 92+...how much was it? i want one!
$160 or $260 (I forgot, my parents got it :p) online.
whats the diff between 92 and 92+?
It has Flash memory, so you have more storage space and you can upgrade the OS. It also has a waaaay better screen. :)
heh, cool. i gotta get one
have you gotten the graph link to work on windows XP?
Yeah, it works with the gray cable. :)
AWESOME!!! i could never get it to work with 2k.
I command you to drool! :p When a calculator has an OS you can update, you should run away screaming like a little girl. :D

hehe, did you just put your 92 on the scanner? :D:D yeah, i got an 89, so it has flash. but i want a 92+!!!!!
The problem with the 92+ is that you can't use it on standardized tests like the SAT, because it has a QWERTY keyboard. :(
Actually, the 83 DOES work I found out. It just needed new batteries. :D But I opened it up and moved all the buttons around anyway. :D :D
I don't think my teachers would let me use a 92+ either. it just looks too good. they let me use the 89 though, so thats good enough for me :D:D:D:D:DQuote:

That's nothing!
At work I found an old TI-53 III calculator, with an LED display! Bright red vibrating digits about 3 mm high, takes about 3 seconds to fill the display with "8"s!
Comes complete with AC power adaptor. Takes about a second to calculate the square root of 12345678.
The buttons even go click when you press them! Its about the size of a shoe-box too!
