ussually if you test it in your ie window it will be debugged there, because if there is an error it will say error on line something, and then you can go back to that line and sort out the problem :)
There's a halfway decent one that some MS products install (and hide). MS Script Editor. Launch Word and look under Tools->Macro for it (if you have Word).
I have word97 and it doesn't have it.
Maybe it just comes with Office 2000?
I'm guessing that you don't have Visual Studio. I use Notepad to write my html/javascript and the debugger in VS to debug.
In Nutscrape type javascript: in the Location field to get a useful list of script errors unlike IE's completely hopeless ones.
IE's sucks. Netscapes rocks. plain and simple.
Nutscrape is only good for Javascript debugging. *glares at sail, starts punching fist into palm* :D
Hah. Netscape Messender is a better email client than Outlook Express.:D
netscape composer is better than frontpage! :D
And Dreamweaver kicks the crap out of both of them! :D
notepad kicks the crap out of dreamweaver
And emacs knocks the snot out of notepad...
