Where i can get voice command type library and how to use in VB...
Thanks
If you want I can send you the two DLL's that came with Win2000 that are located in the
Program Files/Common/Microsoft Shared/SpeechEngines/TTS
folder. Im sure they have the voice functions you are looking for, but I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how to use them.

whats the deal with getting these files sent? are you going to wait for a bunch of people to put their names on here or what? I don't mind waiting, i'd just like to be sure of whats going on. I don't expect you to send the files to each new person who puts their name on here, so thats more than ok. just let us all know when you're planning on sending them. Thanks a lot!
Could you send it to me too please.

Thanks for the immense response that i got when i replied i did not know that i would get such response. Nearly 55 persons contacted to me and the the replies over here can be seen here.I sent to some 10 of them and i would send to all of them just give me some time.I dont want to be any Hero. That project is not mine it is from the book "Visual Basic 5.0 Developers Guide" but it looks as if the speech engine it mentions and the present speech engine is different. so i could not get it working i sent with the idea that someone would come with an answer for my problem. The Speech Engine was a huge download of 6.0 MB many of them asked for it i am giving the link below . i tried to integrate it with Agent but was not successful even there so if anyone has been able to get their system to recognise thier commands then do let me know. Meanwhile i would be working and would let people know if can get into it. there was no proper documentatiom along with Spech engine.
Speech Engine Link :
activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/agent2/actcnc.exe
Some people have been getting angry please bear with me i would send to all.

Microsoft has a voice engine that is free with instruction on how to use it.
Also has some other cool stuff on this page you might like.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/imedia/agent/agentdl.asp
yes, that is the agent, you can download the documentation, separately, from microsoft agent home page

Please send me too at [email protected]
There are some products over the net tah can do what you want:
- Microsoft SAPI (Speech app...) 4.0 (it come with thew command control either)
- L&H has also a product like that +/- US$500
- Philips has the FreeSpech 2000 I'm working on it because it is the only with portuguese language.
- Even Creative Labs has its own
The one from Microsoft seeems the most powerfull and faster to me but the instruction that it brings is to VC so...
I'm working in it for 2 months now but I would also be interested on checking those DLL's an Proj please.
I had downloaded the ducumentation but it is all Agent Specific and not on the Speech Engines
I'm also interested in receiving the voice library files. Please send them to me at: [email protected]
Thank you very much,
Jason Souza
