Make exe error

When I try to make an exe I get an invalid page fault in
module MSPDB60.DLL

Then I get another error that says cound not execute c2.exe or link.exe Depending on what I set the Compile options to.

I tried reinstalling Visual studio but it had no effect.

if something like that happens to me i just format my hdd, that might work for you

Have you applied the latest service pack?

I installed service pack 4 no change.

I had Visual Basic learning edition and Visual C++ standard 6.0 before I installed Visual Studio 6.0 Professional, but I unistalled them before I installed Pro. Wonder If that has any thing to do with it?

Service pack 5 is out...

I know I couldn't find my disk. That shouldn't make that much of difference.

I have this problem when I'm using an access db with my program... the file is in use somehow, and you have to make sure it's not...

Wich File and how do I do that?

If you don't have C2.exe, then go under compile options, and change it to P-Code

but then you've got poopy code, it's a lot better native code.

I'm going to try that, compile to SMALL code, etc. and P-code, and all that. and see if it affects the output THAT much.

I've already tried all the differnt complie options. like I said before you get an error in c2.exe or link.exe, depending on what I set the Compile options to.

My guess is that it is MSPDB60.DLL thats messed up.
