Does the smilie replacer (?) work backwards or something? Because ")" produces ")" rather than what I thought it would be e.g. ")"

LOL Chris u got faaaar too much time on ur hands... u are in danger of becoming Filburtised :D. I would guess that it is nothing to do with the order of appearance in the text but more to do with the order of the search and replace. So, it prob searches for the smile smiley first and replaces that with an icon, the sad second and the rolleyes is way down the list. :)
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!Quote:

he he...I noticed it ages ago (some others have mentioned it). This is my first moan in forum feedback for ages anyway ;)
I remember a previous thread on it in FF. You can fake it if you do the empty bold tag trick. (:))
Something you should not say to your woman!Quote:
You can fake it
I had a feeling that would be quoted. ;)
I have the same problem in my ASP forums. This is because usually a filter goes through and replaces ": )" with <IMG SRC="http://www.vbforums.com/images/icons/icon7.gif" ALT="Smile">, and THEN replaces ": rolleyes:" with <IMG SRC="http://www.vbforums.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif" ALT="roll eyes (sarcastic)">. So therefore it turns out )
Darn beaten to it!Quote:
