But you said Kaverin's code worked! Is there another problem?
Yeah, as far as I know it worked for him, since it worked for me (there was even a little sample). I saw the message in here and hit the link, but I replied from the Other BASIC forum instead. Filburt just posted here to snag some more readers :) (the other forum seems slightly less active heh heh).
It's the first time I see Qbasic code, and it look a little like VisualBasic at the first look . IS it hard to learn?
QBasic isn't OOP, so it's pretty darned easy. :D
Just look at VB for a bit. Now take out the nice GUI and all those neat features. Now remove the event driven nature of the whole thing. Now go back to DOS. You have QBasic. It's not elegant, but it was great back in its day. GUIs are a ***** though :). And people still use it. I'm sure you know this (or at least guessed), but VB and QBasic are both the same in regards to the language itself. There is one (or maybe two or three) versions of VB for DOS as well.
As far as I know there was only 1. When VB1 was first released, DOS was the predominant OS, so naturally, they had to make one for DOS as well as Windows.
ahhhh cooool :D
