Next OS called "BlackComb" by MS developers.The registry is gone in .Net. They now use something called a "global cache".

maybe this is a breakaway towards no dlling, and no dlling could mean ms just MIGHT let .net make it to non windows..
so basically the internet will be like one big computer, with many workstations....Im guessing there will be tons of security...
...unless MS get involved...

me too, i like controlling things. once the rats got control of my house, and i had to sleep outside untill i could chop them up.

Sooo...all the data is on the net.
That'll be grand. I'm sure sensetive data is best stored on the net rather than with tape backups in a locked safe...
Besides which, that whole idea is stupid...IMHO.
