Is there a way to do this without running AIM? There is a way with ICQ, where it shows a little picture with "online" or "offline" on it. Is there something like this for aim?

don't think so...I haven't seen or heard of such a feature... :(
That sucks. I would want to have a little web page with all the indicators for people on my ICQ and AIM lists instead of having to load up them both. Oh well.
I have something on my site that well let you send me a page to see if I'm on. but it doesn't show if I'm on.
