<![CDATA[[RESOLVED] Map location on rotated image]]>
https://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?887745-RESOLVED-Map-location-on-rotated-image&goto=newpost
Thu, 09 Jul 2020 12:17:17 GMTI feel bad asking this as I'm pretty sure it is simple, but I just can't seem to get it.

I have 2 images, with the red dot in the same x/y coordinate, except 1 is rotated. I add the red dot before I rotate the image, so that was easy enough.

However, what I want to do is add the dot after the image is rotated with the same X/Y coordinate.

Here is the image, not rotated.

Here is the image rotated at 35 degrees

What formula would I use to get the correct pixel locationon the rotated image, to match the non-rotated image?

Thanks,

Smitty

Fri, 03 Jul 2020 22:20:02 GMTWhen graphing one plots a line or curve with each point residing on a designated axis value. For example (0,0) to (1, 1). The distant between each plot point is some N number of pixels.
Is there a formula or way to determine the value of the line or curve that visually exists between designated axis points where the line /curve visually shows ( in essence a Y intercept between plot points) ?When graphing one plots a line or curve with each point residing on a designated axis value. Sat, 20 Jun 2020 11:54:57 GMTsee these image: https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-STOKeDBaa...0/distanc1.png

i know calculate the AB distance using the Pythagorean theorem.
my question is: imagine that i'm on vector A, how can i move, vector a vector, to B?
is just:
X = X + 1
Y = Y + 1
?
and, true, depends on direction.. what i don't know use it..
can anyone explain these to me?
and yes these is a 2D, i need to know, too, in 3D.
