• Data source - A named item in the ODBC connections that describes a single connection to a single database or server.
• Database driver - A set of components used to connect to a given type and version of database server
• ODBC - The open database connectivity standard. You can add new data sources through the control panel.
• Visual SourceSafe - A source control and versioning application.
