Welcome to PrBar.OCX Progress Bar Control Description!

PrBar.OCX is a lightweight and easy to use substitution for Microsoft Progress Bar Control. The major advantages over Microsoft Progress Bar control include the ability to display progress bar in different colors and show the percentage of the task completed. The control can be used for any VB application development. To start using the control in Visual Basic 6:

• Go to Projects, Components. Locate item PrBar or if you can't find it - hit Browse button and locate file PrBar.ocx on your hard drive. Select PrBar as shown on the picture below, click OK.

• A new icon with progress bar should appear in a toolbox:

• Select an item with a progress bar from the toolbox and add it to your project.

Configure the progress bar:

Properties:

• Appearance - can be set equal 1 (for 3D) or 0 (for flat)

• BorderStyle - 1 - exists, 0 - no border

• BackColor - set the background color

• FillColor - set the color of the progress bar

Methods:

• DoProgress(percent) - (ex. PrBar1.DoProgress(20)) invoke this method to display the progress.
