What tools are good for creating a search engine for my website? Also, how can I turn my email, or software package into a searchable archive. I have heard of AskSam, but it doesn't work with GroupWise as far as I know. It would be nice to import information from the Helpdesk database at work into a searchable archive using various query methods. I would like to know what is already in existence to do this. If nothing, then I would like to create a search engine that I could link to our Helpdesk software package.

For searching a web site generally I would suggest using a cgi script such as one from the popular Matts Script Archive at http://www.worldwidemart.com/scripts I would suggest that if using it you go through and make it a bit more secure (send it to me if you have problems).
As for using GroupWise (is that Novell, I cant't remember?) I think you will need to take a look at the raw data files that it uses to store your mail. If it is all rubbish, or you can't find them, then you will have to look at ways of exporting the data, manually or automatically from Groupwise to a file that you index and search.
